I'll be posting examples of various techniques that I have applied over the years to films. Comments and questions always welcome.
This clip shows the use of camera movement as the primary modality for filming. The decision was essentially a visceral response to the fact of water being everywhere, slowly flowing, being. Since we also travelled so much by boat, a natural flow seemed to come to the camera that reflected the feeling of the land, or water, and the pace of living. Of course there are cuts, but the primary camera action is movement.
